At the heart of certainty, there is turbulence. In these pieced silk constructions, the artist leads Josef Albers’ “Homage To The Square” on a wild ride through a series of dazzling permutations, reflecting various forms and degrees of turbulence. The viewer is invited to interpret the metaphorical images in this series anywhere on the scale from the cosmic (“big bang”), to the terrestrial (tsunami), to the personal (“the little disturbances of man” referred to by author, Grace Paley).
